Does this trail camera support home WiFi?

A:This trail camera does not support connecting to home WiFi, App connects to camera buit-in WiFi within 49 feet(15M), previews and downloads videos or photos adjusts camera parameters, etc.

Q: The video shot by the camera cannot be played on Mac or cannot be shared on Youtube?

A:The high-resolution videos shot by the camera are in AVI format. AVI video format cannot be directly played on Mac computers or directly be shared on Youtube. Here are the methods:
1.Use Trailcam GO to download MP4 videos (playable directly).
2. Install VLC player & connect camera via USB-C to play AVl directly.
3. Convert AVl to MP4 first using video software.

Q: Can not connect to the camera on APP?

A: The camera can not support connect to home WiFi, App connects to camera buit-in WiFi within 49 feet(15M)
1. iPhone user: Please check the local network permission on your iPhone's [Setting menu] -> [Privacy & Security] -> [Local Network], please make sure it is enabled.
2. Android user: please follow the steps below:
1) Disable the mobile network of your smartphone and try again.
2) If there is a firewall, please disable it.
3) Is your phone connected to other Bluetooth devices? For example: headphones/sports bracelets/printers, etc. Please try to disconnect and then connect the camera.
4) Reboot your smartphone and try again, we noticed that some smartphone's Bluetooth may crash after long time using.

Q: Why does the app always prompt that the camera has lost connection?

A: ①The camera will automatically disconnect when the screen is turned off or running in the background or you are operating other functions on the phone, so you may see the camera disconnect multiple times. This is normal and is intended to save power.
②lf the connection is interrupted while watching live video, it maybe that your battery power is too low. Please charge the camera. ③The effective distance of Bluetooth and wireless connection is 15m.Please ensure that the distance is not exceeded. If your problem still cannot be solved, please contact us at support@vidvistech.com

Q: After l connect the camera to the mobile app, why does it not record video if there is an object moving in front of the lens?

A: This is normal. The PIR of the camera only works in standby mode. It does not work when connected wireless to the App. At this time, the camera can only be used to set parameters and watch real-time images and playbacks.

Q: Forgot password?

A: Please turn off the camera, press the "▲" key and the "OK" keys simultaneously to move to the power-on position to reset the password.If you still cannot solve your problem, please contact us: support@vidvistech.com

Q: How is this trail camera powered?

A:
Mode SV-TCNW: come with a solar panel or USB-C cable to charge the built in battery, and are compatible with a Dc 6V/1.5A power supply (not included).
Mode SV-TCQSW: This trail camera's solar panel or USB-C cable charges the built in battery, and is compatible with 4xAA batteries (not included) + DC 6V/1.5A power supply (not included).

Q: Why does the SD card show "no memory" or fail to save files?

A: ① Confirm the SD card is fully inserted.
② Format the card via the camera menu before first use.
③ Test with a different SD card or check via computer.

Q: Why is the camera not recording any motion detection video?

A: Please Configure your camera's settings as below listed:
① Working mode: Motion Detection ② Detection Delay: 0.5 Sec
③ Work Time: OFF
④ Photo or Video: Photo+Video
⑤ Video length: 30 Sec
⑥ PIR sensitivity: High
⑦ Motion filter: OFF
If all the above are OK, please check if the SD card is recognized by the camera.You can manually record videos or take photos to check if they are stored in the SD card.If not, it may be a problem with the SD card. Please try another SD card.

Q: Why does the battery drain so quickly?

A:①The camera power consumption depends on the recording mode, recording time, and trigger times.
②lt is recommended that you set it to motion detection mode recording time 10 seconds, and PIR trigger interval time to more than 1 minute.
③In the winter when the temperature is very low, the camera will consume power quickly and may not be able to charge.
